We went to Village Play Cafe with our three year old this past Saturday, and most definitely will be back! Initially, we were concerned that they would not be accommodating to an older toddler— boy was I wrong! They had so much to do for all ages (if we included the foam pit with intricate ladders, I would say this cafe accommodates for children ranging in age from 0-10 years old), and it was so nice to be able to have a coffee with friends (or in my case, my husband) while our kiddo plays. The cafe overlooks the play area where you’re allowed to sit, sip your coffee (which is delicious, might I add), and watch the kids play. To add to the accommodations this play cafe provides, the admission includes access to the back two rooms (which require the adult to accompany the child) that are labeled accurately as sensory rooms! They are complete with sensory swings, fiber optic/black lights, and even more activities. While we were exploring the sensory room, I was lucky enough to meet the owner on a busy Saturday who took the time to speak to her patrons, which I think is huge. There was plenty of room for us to play and mingle, and plenty of activities to go around. The vibe of this place is unlike any other “kids play place” around (and we’ve tried them all). The owner has really hit the nail on the head balancing parent care and providing a great environment for the kids to play. Again, we will definitely be back!
